Genshin Impact 5.2: Update Details and What's New

Version 5.2 of Genshin Impact arrived on November 20, 2024, immediately after the end of Phase 2 of version 5.1. With this update, players can enjoy new characters, maps, events and weapons, as well as the exciting debut of Chasca, a completely new character in the Teyvat universe.

Version 5.2 Release Date and Times

Update 5.2 brought significant changes and started after a short maintenance period. Release times by region are summarized below:

North America: November 19, 2024, between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM (UTC-5).
Europe: November 20, 2024, between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM (UTC+1).
Asia: November 20, 2024, between 7:00 AM and 12:00 PM (UTC+8).

Maintenance times were shorter than expected, allowing early access to new developments.

Phase 1: November 20 - December 10, 2024

Chasca (Anemo): First appearance in an exclusive banner.
Ororon (Electro): New 4-star character.
Lyney, Sucrose and Barbara: Featured reruns.

Phase 2: December 10 - December 31, 2024

Neuvillette and Zhongli: Back with special banners.
The 4-star characters in this phase have not yet been confirmed.

New Weapons and Exclusive Content

Version 5.2 includes powerful weapons that complement the new characters:

Astral Vulture’s Crimson Plumage: A 5-star bow.
Waveriding Whirl: 4-star weapon
Flower-Wreathed Feathers: 4-star weapon.
Calamity of Eshu: 4-star sword obtainable in the Iktomi Spiritseeking Scrolls event.

In addition, players will have access to exclusive refinements through materials obtained in the events of this version.

Natlan and Ochkanatlan Region

The update unlocks restricted areas of Natlan, where players will be able to explore:

Ochkanatlan: Home of the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe.
Tribes of the Flower-Feather Clan: Where much of the Chasca narrative takes place.

New Boss: Tenebrous Papilla

An enemy that uses corruption from the abyss to mimic monsters from all regions of Teyvat.

Iktomi Spiritseeking Scrolls: Flagship event of the version.
Adventurer’s Trials: Complete adventurer’s guild challenges.

Tribal Chronicles: Flower-Feather Tribe and Masters of the Night-Wind quests.
Exercise Surging Storm: Help the Favonius Knights improve their military tactics by performing warfare simulations.
Claw Convoy: Find the animals using the mirror and get their field of vision to help you in your quest.
