HoYoverse has officially announced the arrival of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.3, titled “The Fall at Dawn’s Rise”, with its launch scheduled for May 21. This update represents a crucial milestone for players, as it will mark the conclusion of the Flame-Chase Journey narrative arc and introduce two new playable characters, Hyacine and Cipher, along with a series of new events and challenges.
Epic Culmination: The Flame-Chase Journey and the Sky Titan
The main storyline of Version 3.3 will focus on the final confrontation of the Flame-Chase Journey. Players, in collaboration with the Chrysos Heirs, will prepare for the ultimate showdown against the formidable Sky Titan. According to in-game historical records, this entity, known as Aquila, is described as a hundred-eyed giant bird whose eyelids are the firmament itself, controlling the world’s dawn and dusk.
Concurrently, the update will introduce “Echo of War: Glance of Twilight”, a new instance promising additional challenges and significant rewards for Trailblazers. The narrative will also delve deeper into the mysteries of Amphoreus, where Madam Herta’s data spirit entity, having successfully reached the Vortex of Genesis at the end of Version 3.2, will play a role in uncovering the origin of Amphoreus’s tragedy and its connection to the cosmos.
New Additions to the Playable Roster: Hyacine and Cipher
Version 3.3 “The Fall at Dawn’s Rise” will enrich the character roster with two new 5-star figures:
Hyacine (5-Star, Wind, Path of Remembrance): As the chief physician of the Twilight Courtyard, Hyacine has long been responsible for the medical care of Flame-Chasers. Her combat role focuses on HP restoration for the entire team and boosting overall survivability. By summoning Little Ica, she provides continuous healing. Her Ultimate not only restores HP to all teammates but also increases their Max HP. Additionally, whenever an ally (excluding Little Ica) is attacked or sacrifices their own HP, Little Ica will consume its own HP to automatically heal them, and its offensive capability scales with the amount of healing performed.
Cipher (5-Star, Quantum, Path of Nihility): As one of the earliest Chrysos Heirs to join the Flame-Chase Journey and inheritor of Trickery’s divine authority, Cipher is an enigmatic and elusive figure. In combat, her primary mechanic involves applying a special status to the enemy with the highest Max HP, recording the damage they take. Cipher can perform follow-up attacks when teammates attack the marked target, and her Ultimate unleashes additional True DMG based on the previously recorded damage.
Expected Returns and Exclusive Events
In addition to the new narrative content and characters, Version 3.3 will bring back highly sought-after 5-star characters. The Herta and Aglaea will appear in the event Warps during the first and second halves of the update, respectively.
Regarding events, notable additions include:
Penacony Speed Cup Spheroid Racing Tournament: A spheroid championship taking place in Penacony, where players can pilot racing spheroids in speed challenges.
Legend of the Galactic Baseballer: Demon King: Funded by Giovanni, this event will continue the story of the raccoon seeking its bat, incorporating new combat elements based on Trailblazer feedback during its beta.
