Elder Scrolls Legends end of service and consequences

Along with the announcement of the scheduled closure from January 30, 2025Bethesda announced that all store and event items will be available for 1 gold, allowing everyone to enjoy Elder Scrolls Legends content until its closure. Once the deadline is reached, the server will be permanently closed and inaccessible.

The game has already been removed from Steam so new players will no longer be able to access it and once the server closes, it will not have an offline option so the progress of its players will be permanently deleted. This has caused some commotion among the few players who still maintained, since it is normal to grant certain compensations in the closure of games as a service, but Elders Scrolls Legends will only lower its store until the last day.

The closure is also not that it is some kind of surprise since the game had been since 2019 without receiving any kind of update, being kept in indefinite suspension and now it has finally been announced its closure, although in its official website has not been published anything.
