YGGDRA Re:Birth recently announced that it will end its services on December 26, 2024 at 12:00 JST in Japan. This unexpected closure comes just after the game celebrated its first anniversary.
The decision was made by the YGGDRA Re:Birth development team after assessing the difficulty of maintaining content that consistently meets user expectations. The company expressed regret, noting that this step was taken with great sadness as it could not find a viable way to continue the service.
The YGGDRA Re:Birth team has established a timeline highlighting key steps leading up to the final shutdown. Users will be able to continue playing until the end date, although some services will be gradually limited:
Players in possession of unused Ether Crystals purchased with real money will be able to request refunds. This process will be enabled one hour after the game closes, beginning December 26, 2024 at 13:00 JST. The company recommends that players ensure that they have an up-to-date app and retain their user ID number and Ether Crystal balance to facilitate the refund process. It is essential not to delete the application before the refund is completed, as this may hinder the process.
For more detailed information on the reimbursement process and other aspects of the closing, please refer to the official YGGDRA Re:Birth website.
