Kuro Games has announced the arrival of the highly anticipated Version 2.2 of Wuthering Waves, titled “Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower,” along with news about the game’s launch on Steam and MacOS. The official presentation of the update took place via a livestream that offered a first look at the new main quest, companion story, regions, echoes, challenges, optimizations, events, and the confirmation of Wuthering Waves‘s launch on Steam, where it can now be wishlisted. Wuthering Waves Version 2.2, “Tangled Truth in Inverted Tower,” will be available on March 27th, coinciding with the launch of the MacOS version.
New Resonators, Weapons, and Events
Version 2.2 not only brings narrative content and improvements, but also new playable characters and equipment:
New Resonators: Cantarella, a new five-star Resonator, and the Rover: Aero are being added.
New Weapons: Whispers of Sirens and Bloodpact’s Pledge are added, the latter as a free 5-star weapon.
Featured Resonator and Weapon Convenes: Themed convenes with banners for Cantarella, Camellya, Shorekeeper, Whispers of Sirens, Red Spring, and Stellar Symphony will be activated.
In addition, Version 2.2 will be packed with special events offering rewards and unique challenges, including area exploration events, photo collection events, login events, trial challenges, and co-op combat events, among others.

Version 2.2 of Wuthering Waves promises to significantly expand the gameplay experience with a wide range of new content and improvements. Among the most important features are:
New Main Quest: “The Maiden, The Defier, The Death Crier,” which will continue the game’s main narrative.
New Companion Story: “A Fleeting Night’s Dream,” delving deeper into the personal stories of the characters.
New Regions to Explore: Avinoleum and Beohr Waters will expand the world of Wuthering Waves, offering new environments and secrets to discover.
Wide Variety of New Echoes: Numerous echoes are being incorporated, including Reminiscence: Fleurdelys, Nightmare: Lampylumen Myriad, and a series of echoes named La Guardia, Sagittario, Sacerdos, Capitaneus, Aero Drake, Electro Drake, and Glacio Drake, in addition to the Phantom Echo: Capitaneus.
New Sonata Effect: “Gusts of Welkin,” which offers an Aero DMG bonus and increases the team’s Aero DMG when inflicting Aero Erosion.
New Tactical Hologram Challenge: “Tactical Hologram: Dragon of Dirge,” will test players’ combat skills.
Optimizations and Improvements to the Gameplay Experience
Kuro Games has also dedicated efforts to improving the user experience in Version 2.2 with a series of optimizations:
PC Launcher Optimizations: Now supports incremental content updates, reducing download size and waiting time.
Color Settings: Options are added to adjust the game’s brightness, contrast, and saturation, allowing for deeper visual customization.
Quick Access to Supplies in Backpack: Facilitates resource management by allowing players to directly open supply packs needed to upgrade Resonators from the “How to Get” menu.
Story Review: Allows players to review the text of story parts already played, improving narrative comprehension.
Titles: Unlockable titles are introduced that reflect players’ progress and achievements.
Exploration: The number of Waypoints and Casket Sonars that can be deployed simultaneously has been increased, facilitating world exploration.
Launch on Steam and MacOS
One of the most celebrated news is the confirmation of Wuthering Waves‘s launch on Steam and MacOS. The MacOS version will be available on the Mac App Store starting March 27, 2025, while the Steam version can now be wishlisted on the platform.
