The 1.3 version of Wuthering Waves is almost here, with a release date set for September 29, 2024. This upcoming update, titled To the Shore’s End, brings a wealth of content, including new characters, weapons, areas, stories, and events. Below, we highlight the most important details about this highly anticipated update.

New Characters: Shorekeeper and Youhu
In this update, two new characters are added to the Wuthering Waves roster:
Shorekeeper: This 5★ character is a Spectro Rectifier with the unique ability to transform into a butterfly, allowing for more efficient map exploration. While in this form, Shorekeeper can gather materials while flying, making resource collection easier.
Youhu: A 4★ character with the Glacio element, Youhu wields gauntlets as their weapon. They feature a new QTE mechanic, allowing them to alter their moveset and battle effects depending on the device they pull from their bag.

New Weapons
Version 1.3 also introduces new weapons for players:
Stellar Symphony: This is Shorekeeper’s new signature weapon, a Rectifier, available in the featured banner.
Deep Sky Blazer: A new weapon series that will be available in both limited and permanent banners.

New Area: Black Shores and Tethys' Deep
This update also brings a new area called Black Shores, an archipelago that can be fully explored. Additionally, players will have access to Tethys’ Deep, a darker, gloomier version of Black Shores, which could be an alternate dimension.

New Echos: Fallacy of No Return
Among the new enemies introduced in this update is Fallacy of No Return, a Spectro-type Echo that wields a massive hammer. This powerful enemy can summon giant fists that continuously strike opponents, using the player’s stamina as a resource.
Additionally, phantom echos like Gulpuff and Lumiscale Construct will be added, featuring unique appearances that distinguish them from their original versions.

New Features in Version 1.3
Some new functions included in this update are:
- Portal puzzles: New puzzles that will be encountered in the Black Shores areas.
- Map region selection tool: To make navigating the Solaris-3 map easier.
- Resource-rich area markers: Players will now be able to easily identify areas containing needed resources and continue gathering from them.
- Multi-data fusion: Players will be able to fuse up to 100 echos at once, simplifying echo management.
