Genshin Impact Version 5.3 Trailer: New Features and Updates Revealed

On January 1, 2025, players of Genshin Impact will be able to enjoy version 5.3, titled “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection“. This update brings major news, including the arrival of Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, and the celebration of the Lantern Rite in Liyue.

The final battle in Natlan

The new “Act V” of the Archon Quest in Natlan marks the beginning of the final battle against the Abyss. The six heroes of Natlan will unite under the blessing of the “Ode of Resurrection“. The Traveler will awaken their Pyro power as they face the new boss, the Abyssal Mimic Dragon, “Lord of Eroded Primal Fire.”

Mavuika, the Archon Pyro

Players will finally have the chance to play as Mavuika and join forces with the warriors of Natlan in the Archon Quest. Mavuika, also known as the Pyro Archon Haborym, features two unique combat styles: she fights with her claymore and crushes her opponents while riding her flamestrider. Her Elemental Skill creates an incinerating ring that deals Pyro Damage, while her Ultimate unleashes a powerful AoE attack. Additionally, Mavuika can reduce the team’s Nightsoul Transmission CD by 20% and travel over land, water, and air on her flamestrider. More about her abilities will be revealed in the legendary quest unlocked after completing the Archon Quest.

New Characters and Gacha Returns

In addition to Mavuika, the update introduces Citlalí, a 5-star Cryo shaman who fights with her catalyst and summons froststorms. Citlalí reduces the Pyro and Hydro RES of enemies affected by the Frozen or Melt reactions, even off-field. Both characters will be available in the first half of the promotional gachas. In the second half, players will be able to pull for Arlecchino and Clorinde, who are returning to the gacha. Lan Yan, a 4-star Anemo character from Liyue who uses a catalyst and is known for her Swallow-Wisp Shield, will also be introduced. Additionally, there will be a Chronicled Wish the return of Ganyu and Shenhe.

Lantern Rite: Rewards and Festivities

Liyue is lit up with the Lantern Rite, bringing numerous rewards for players:

1600 Primogems and the new glider “Wings of Fate’s Course Intertwined” via in-gme mail.
10 Intertwined Fates through the daily login event.
A 4-star character from Liyue for free upon completing the Lantern Rite event.
Players will also be able to enjoy minigames and events, such as “Inmortal Combat” and combat challenges. The new outfit for Hu Tao, “Cherries Snow-Laden“ will be available in the store for a limited time.

Improvements and new game features

Version 5.3 of Genshin Impact brings significant improvements to optimize the gaming experience:

Permanent music mode to compose and share scores. The epic trails of Kaedehara Kazuha and Ganyu have been added to the Fantasy Theater.
A button that directly links to the Training Guide from the character interface.
Increased artifact limit in the Inventory to 2100.
The bosses will respawn 5 seconds after claiming the rewards.
