Project NET, the latest title in the acclaimed Girls’ Frontline series, has captured fans’ attention with its announcement as a third-person shooter (TPS) for mobile devices. Developed by HECATE TEAM, a division of Sunborn, this game promises an immersive combat experience where players will directly control the famous Tactical Dolls on the battlefield.
What is Project NET about?
Although the precise details of its story have yet to be fully revealed, the information available on social media platforms like X and Facebook suggests that the game will be deeply connected to the Girls’ Frontline universe. The mention of the “Goddess Lunisia” is a clear indicator of its link to the original game. However, the appearance of the word “dimension” leaves the door open to the possibility that Project NET may explore alternate realities or timelines, serving as a bridge between Girls’ Frontline and Girls’ Frontline 2 or perhaps establishing a completely new narrative.

Game System: First Person Combat with Tactical Dolls
In the recently showcased gameplay sequences, players can be seen directly controlling the Tactical Dolls, including characters like Groza and Macchiato, in intense combat scenarios. This marks a significant change compared to the previous titles in the series. The combat mechanics include the option to use auto-attacks for common enemies and the need to perform precise dodges and attacks for bosses.
The videos have revealed large-scale enemies, suggesting that strategy and coordination will be essential to overcome the challenges presented by Project NET.
