The installment of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica franchise, titled ‘Magia Exedra’ , has postponed its release date to spring 2025. This change in the schedule, initially scheduled for 2024, is due to the intention to reach a higher level of quality that will allow players to fully enjoy the essence of the Madoka Magica universe.
Reasons for delay and development objectives
The development team, consisting of Pokelabo, known for their work on SINoALICE and Assault Lily Last Bullet, and f4samurai, responsible for Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, has revised their planning to deliver a product that meets the high expectations of fans. In a statement, they mentioned that this adjustment seeks to ensure that the title fully captures the unique appeal of the original series.
Features of 'Magia Exedra'
- Immersive 3D graphics: the game will faithfully recreate the atmosphere of the Madoka Magica universe, with detailed visual design and effects that enhance the narrative.
- Iconic settings and characters: players will be able to relive key moments from Madoka Magica and Magia Record, while exploring new plots and developing strategies in a command combat system with up to five characters.
- Cross-platform compatibility: it will be available for smartphones and PC (Steam) as a free-to-play title with optional purchases.
In addition, the game already supports pre-registration on Google Play and has an active Steam page. However, pre-registration on the App Store is still pending.
