The Honkai: Star Rail 2.7 update will be available starting on December 3, 2024 (UTC-5). During the live stream for this version, key details were revealed, including new characters, a new Trailblaze mission, and the addition of the Party Car.

New Characters and Returns
- Sunday (5★) – A character from the Harmony path with the Imaginary element. Their banner will be available from the version’s release (December 3) until December 25, 2024.
- Fugue (5★) – From the Nihility path and featuring the Fire element, they will be available during the second phase of the version, from December 25, 2024, to January 14, 2025.

Main Events in Version 2.7
- Cosmic Home Decor Guide: This event will allow players to earn materials to decorate their own room in the Party Car, a new area of the Astral Express.
- Gift of Odyssey: Log in for 7 days to get up to 10 Star Rail Passes.
- Planar Fissure and Realm of the Strange: Get double rewards in Simulated Universe and Caverns of Corrosion.
- Between the Frames: Help March 7th as a photography assistant as you explore the universe.
- Express Gift: Choose a free 5★ character as a login reward.

Party Car:
A new area is introduced in the Astral Express, where players can unlock and decorate their personal room through the event Cosmic Home Decor Guide.
Outfits for Pom-Pom:
The iconic host of the Astral Express will receive new outfits, although the details on how to unlock them have not been revealed yet.

Quest and Upgrades
The main quest, A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn, will take players to reunite with Sunday on the planet Penacony. Additionally, the Divergent Universe mode will receive significant updates, including an increase in the maximum Synchronicity level to 100.
