Alchemy Stars will close its services on January 24, 2025: Offline Version Announced

Level Infinite has announced that the popular mobile strategy RPG, Alchemy Stars (known as 白夜極光 in Japan), will officially shut down its services on January 24, 2025, at 04:00 (UTC+0). However, to mitigate the impact of this decision, a special offline version will be launched, retaining some player data and basic features.

Game Closing Details

Launched on June 17, 2021, Alchemy Stars has offered a unique experience based on strategic battles set in the fictional continent of Astra, where science and magic intertwine in a fight against biological creatures known as the “Darkens.” After three and a half years of operation, Level Infinite has decided to end the service due to the difficulty of continuing to offer a satisfying experience for players. Key Dates for Service Termination:

December 13, 2024 (Friday): Closure of Crystal sales in the game.
- Current Crystals can still be used until the service closure.
January 24, 2025 (Friday):
- Final game closure. After this date, players will no longer be able to access the game.

For those who still have Crystals in their accounts, a refund will be offered as per payment laws, although details of the refund process will be communicated later.

Updates and Special Events

Despite the sad news, Alchemy Stars players can enjoy several events and updates before the final closure. Here’s what’s coming up in the next few weeks.

Special Events and Updates:

December 13, 2024:
- Event: “Farewell from the Traveler”. This event will offer a special farewell to players, who can access it from the main screen. To participate, they must have completed Main Scenario 1-16. During the event, various special rewards will be unlocked.
- Content Update: On this date, 1000 Star Tokens will be distributed as a thank-you to all players who have stayed with the game until the end of the service. This gift will be available through the in-game mail until January 24, 2025.
Special Summon:
- Maya and Wilhelm, featured characters, will be introduced in the event “The Night that Closes the Path (前を閉ざす夜)” with an increased drop rate for ★6 characters. Additionally, players will be able to guarantee a ★5 character within the first ten summons.
Additional Updates:
- December 13, 2024: Closure of the exchange shops and “Mystery” passes, with only the “Sky Traveler” shop remaining active. Players will still be able to receive passes until their expiration date.
- During this period, the content of “Boss Fights” will continue with new enemies like Cerritus (Thunder), with additional rewards for completing certain stages.

Offline Version

The offline version will allow players to access the following:

Character data and customized appearances.
Some basic functionalities that have not yet been detailed.

The update required to enable this version will be distributed before the service closure date, and players are advised to stay tuned for future announcements on the game’s official channels.
