HoYoverse has announced the official launch of the urban fantasy ARPG Zenless Zone Zero‘s Version 1.5, “Astra-nomical Moment,” on January 22. This update promises an immersive experience with a dazzling audiovisual concert starring New Eridu’s superstar, Astra Yao, alongside a variety of new activities and challenges for players.
A Spectacular Concert and Hidden Dangers
The central event of this update is the New Year’s performance where Astra Yao will grace the stage at the iconic Starloop, a structure resembling a star’s orbit. The show will create a magical atmosphere, but beneath the surface, conspiracies and schemes threaten both the star and her protectors. Proxies, along with Evelyn, will play a crucial role in safeguarding Astra and uncovering the secrets hidden beneath the spotlight.
New Agents and Abilities
Version 1.5 introduces Astra Yao as a playable S-Rank Ether Support Agent. Her unique ability allows her to enter the “Idyllic Cadenza” state, providing a damage bonus to the entire squad, even when switching Agents. As the first healing character in the game, her Ultimate not only damages enemies but also restores HP to her allies.
Evelyn, another S-Rank Fire Attack Agent, generates Burning Tether Points with her attacks to unleash powerful Chain Attacks.
Additionally, a new S-Rank Bangboo, Snap, joins the team, ready to capture memorable moments with its camera. The S-Rank Agents, Ellen (Ice Attack) and Qingyi (Electric Stun), will also return to the banners in this update.
Mini-Games, Challenges, and Customization
The update goes beyond new characters and a concert. Players can enjoy:
“Mach 25”: A new parkour arcade game available at Godfinger, where players can race using various vehicles.
“Bizarre Brigade”: A 2-player PvE mode with seven new Dream Seekers.
“Endless Tower: The Last Stand”: Implemented in Simulated Battle Trial, this mode has players ascend through 10-floor phases with combat effects
“Perpetrator Battle”: Accessed through Hollow Zero, where players need designated Agents, Gear, and Resonia to defeat formidable foes.
Agent Customization: Players can dress up Agents, including Astra, Ellen, and Nicole in new outfits.
Bangboo Pageant “Ridu’s Got Boo”: Help Eous win the pageant and unlock rewards, including Nicole’s new outfit.
Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship: Hone your fishing skills and earn rewards, such as an exclusive dynamic wallpaper.
Optimization and Availability
Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5 will launch on January 22 for PlayStation 5 Pro, PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. The update will also optimize the interfaces for Notorious Hunt, Drive Disc, and W-Engine, as well as the display of dynamic wallpapers and badges.
