Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed major updates for its popular mobile game, Gakuen Idolmaster (‘GakuMas’), through the broadcast of the “Hatsuhoshi Gakuen HR #6” program, aired on October 20, 2024. The main announcement was the confirmation of the event in collaboration with the Animate retail chain, which will start on October 28 at 11:00 and end on November 6 at 10:59.

The new event introduces a novel mechanic in which players must cooperate with their circle members to overcome stages and earn exclusive rewards. The event’s storyline takes place in the iconic Animate store setting, and will feature special dialogues and situations related to the store.

New characters in the gacha
With the event, a new gacha will be released in which players will be able to obtain the idol Hanami Saki. A special item called Animate+ Equipment, which will provide benefits in concentration and energy, willalsobe released. In addition, the new SSR Support Card titled “Eating in the Autumn”, which includes a special illustration, has been revealed.

Celebration of 2 million downloads
In commemoration of the game’s 2 million downloads, a new fitness outfit for the characters has been announced for sale. Each costume will be available for 500 paid jewels and will be exclusive to each idol in the game.

Bandai Namco has taken the opportunity to introduce the Memory Synthesis Ticket, a tool that will allow swapping skills between different memory cards, which will add more strategy to character customization. This update will be implemented along with the event on October 28.
In addition, it was confirmed that a Platinum Gacha update will be implemented on November 16, and from November 6, players will be able to participate in the Select Pickup Gacha. Along with these dates, the “Half Anniversary Commemorative Pack” will also go on sale, which will include special tickets to exchange idols and exclusive cards.
