January 17, 2025, 18:00 JST: The sale of the game’s virtual currency, known as “Oniishi” or “鬼石”, will be halted.

February 27, 2025, 18:00 JST: The service of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei will be officially terminated.

February 28, 2025, 18:00 JST: The refund application process will open for “Oniishi” purchased with real money.

May 29, 2025, 18:00 JST: The refund request period will close.
"Oniishi” Refund Process
Players who have “Oniishi” (鬼石) purchased with real money will have the option to request a refund. Please note the following:

The refund will apply only to “Oniishi” purchased with real money and owned at the time of service closure.

The refund request will be made through an app update, available starting February 28, 2025. Instructions for the process will be displayed on the title screen.

It is essential not to uninstall the app before completing the refund process, as doing so may prevent the money from being refunded.
