Netmarble Corporation has announced the presentation of its new game, Mongil: Star Dive, at the G-STAR 2024 event, one of the biggest video game events in South Korea, taking place at BEXCO, Busan, from November 14-17. This new installment is the long-awaited sequel to Monster Tamer, a classic action RPG released in 2013 that achieved great popularity with around 1.5 million users.

In their interview with GNN, they stressed that the game is designed to appeal to both Monster Tamer veterans and new players, thanks to its innovations and faithfulness to the essence of the original title.

Story of “Mongil: Star Dive ‘ takes place in a fascinating world called ’Belana”, a place where humans and monsters coexist. The game follows the adventures of the protagonists “Bernard ‘ and ’Claude”, who embark on a breathtaking journey, crossing paths with various fantastic adventurers along the way.
The title, which is a 3D action role-playing game and character collection, focuses on monster control and team battles, offering a dynamic and strategic experience. According to Kim Min-kyun, the core of the battle lies in three key elements: the “relaxed and fun action”, the “fast-paced three-person battle ‘ and ’burst mode”. The combat system is designed to be fluid and exciting, with a focus on “constant role-switching,” allowing players to switch freely between team members to take advantage of various tactics during battles.
A highlight of the combat mechanics is the use of the “Meow Meow” pet, which can be used to weaken enemy leaders, creating opportunities to activate burst mode. This allows the team to launch powerful attacks simultaneously, providing a high level of excitement and strategy. The developers’ goal is for players to enjoy fast-paced action with simple and intuitive controls, ensuring a fun and accessible experience for everyone.
