The release of version 2.0 of Wuthering Waves has been announced for January 2nd, 2025. In this update, we will discover the new region Rinascita, known for its luxurious parties and intriguing politics.
New region - Rinascita
The region is known for its lively Carnevale, but beneath the surface, it has a ruthless political system full of tangled plots. Rinascita is one of the six nations located in Solaris-3, recognized for its archipelagos embraced by the sea. Ragunna is the main city of Rinascita, where the sentinel Imperator resides, and is honored through the grand celebration The Carnevale. This city is described as a port town, with districts connected by canals through which we can travel.
Additionally, the names of various locations within the Rinascita region have been revealed, such as:
- Nimbus Sanctum: The sea of clouds that stretches across this area is formed by concentrated energy. Local legends from Ragunna speak of a mirror-like zone that is said to purify the darkest thoughts and transform them into part of the clouds.
- Averardo Vault: A heavily guarded fortress on the outskirts of the city. Within its walls lies the vast treasure collection of the Montelli family. The vault also offers services such as secure storage for valuables, appraisals, and acquisitions of rare collections.
- Fagaceaa Peninsula: An ancient site where the rulers of Rinascita would gather to hold secret councils.
- Whisperwind Haven: It stretches across a plain on the outskirts of Ragunna, adorned with windmills that spin in unison.
New characters and weapons
During version 2.0 of Wuthering Waves, two new characters were announced, Carlotta and Roccia, who will be available in the first and second gachapon of version 2.0. The first gachapon will include a rerun of Zhezhi, and the second will feature a rerun of Jinhsi.
- Carlotta is a Glacio type unit with a Pistol weapon.
- Roccia is a Havoc type unit with a Gauntlet weapon.
- The Last Dance is the new 5* weapon for Carlotta.
- Tragycomedy is the new 5* weapon for Roccia.
- Poetry and Peean will be a series of 4* weapons, with a variant for each weapon type.
- Call of the Abyss will be a new 4* free weapon obtained through events.

Several of the new features we will enjoy during version 2.0 were also previewed:
- New device Wing: All Rovers will have access to a new tool that allows us to fly and glide in Rinascita.
- Main story skip function: Rovers will be able to skip the version 1.0 story once they reach Chapter 1, Act 3 to directly access Rinascita.
- Early access to boss challenges without the need to unlock them in their specific locations.
- Ability to switch between Rover appearances at the player’s discretion.
- Material synthesis without the need to travel to a synthesizer.
- Conversion of materials of the same category in a 2:1 ratio.
- Exploration rewards from the maps. These rewards are retroactive.
- New immersion mode where all HUD elements are removed.
- A new Echo feature will allow players to play their favorite music and change the background music.
